Susannah Allen

     Susannah Allen is in her 19th year of teaching elementary school.  14 of those years have been here at Tattnall.  She has taught K-4, K-5, 1st, and 2nd grade during her career.  She is currently teaching Pre-Kindergarten and loves every minute with her class!  She says, "Pre-School is where my heart is!  There is nothing like looking at the world through the eyes of little children!  Everyday is a joy!"

     On a personal note, Mrs. Allen married her college sweetheart, Donnie Allen, who is a Tattnall alumnus.  They have been married for 18 years and have two sons and one daughter.  All three of their children are students at Tattnall.  Jake is in 8th grade, Jordan is in 6th grade, and Wes is in 2nd grade.  Both Donnie and Susannah feel blessed that their children are getting an excellent education in a loving, Christian environment.

      In their spare time, the Allen's enjoy the outdoors!  They love going to the beach and fishing in the Gulf for shark and tarpon.  They also enjoy going to watch all three of their children play sports! They are also involved in various activities in their church, Ingleside Baptist.

     Mrs. Allen's teacher assistant is Mrs. Barbara Hayslip.   She is also the assistant daycare director and has been working at Tattnall for fifteen years.  She and her husband, Prestley, have been married for 32 years.  They have one daughter, Hillary, who graduated from Tattnall in 2004, and she married Brad Page (class of’01) in July 2009.
